ABN 72 694 897 151

Effective Date: 11 October 2026
Last Reviewed: 11 October 2026
1. Policy Statement

Medicosmetics Clinic is committed to providing respectful, inclusive and equitable access to its healthcare services, information and digital platforms.
We recognise the right of individuals to be treated with dignity and without unlawful discrimination, including on the basis of disability, age, sex, race or other attributes protected by applicable law.

This Policy reflects our commitment to the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), applicable South Australian equal opportunity legislation and relevant professional standards.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:
-
Access to clinical consultations and treatments.
-
Appointment booking and patient communication.
-
Access to our premises and facilities.
-
Our website and digital communications.
-
Interactions with employees, practitioners, contractors and representatives.
3. Website Accessibility

Medicosmetics aims to progressively improve the accessibility and usability of its website for individuals with diverse abilities and assistive technology requirements.
Where reasonably practicable, we seek to align our digital accessibility practices with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Measures may include:
-
Readable and appropriately structured website content.
-
Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
-
Sufficient text and background contrast.
-
Clear navigation and identifiable links.
-
Compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.
-
Accessible forms and alternative communication options.
-
Improvements to keyboard navigation and mobile usability.
This statement expresses our accessibility objectives and does not represent a certification that every website page or function currently satisfies all WCAG criteria.

4. Physical Accessibility

Our Clinic operates from Level 1, 409 Magill Road, St Morris SA 5068.
We recognise that the location and configuration of the premises may present access barriers for some individuals.

Patients requiring mobility assistance, step-free access or other physical adjustments are encouraged to contact the Clinic before attending.

We will provide accurate information about available access arrangements and consider reasonable alternatives where appropriate and practicable.
We will not represent facilities as wheelchair accessible unless the relevant access arrangements have been verified.

5. Reasonable Adjustments

Patients may request reasonable adjustments to support their participation in consultations or access to services.

Requests may include:
-
Additional time for communication or explanation.
-
Written information in an alternative accessible format.
-
Assistance with booking or administrative processes.
-
Consideration of sensory or communication needs.
-
Support from an interpreter, advocate or support person.
-
Modifications to consultation arrangements where clinically appropriate.
Requests will be assessed individually, taking into account the patient's circumstances, clinical safety, applicable law and operational feasibility.

6. Communication and Informed Consent
We recognise that patients may require information to be communicated in different ways to support informed decision-making.

Where reasonably practicable, we will assist patients to understand proposed treatments, material risks, alternatives and relevant financial information before consent is obtained.

A disability or communication difference does not, of itself, establish an absence of decision-making capacity.

7. Clinical Safety and Eligibility

Accessibility and inclusion do not override clinical safety requirements.
The Clinic may decline or defer a procedure where a suitably qualified practitioner determines that treatment would be unsafe, clinically inappropriate or outside the Clinic's lawful scope of practice.

Such decisions will be made on relevant clinical grounds rather than unlawful discriminatory assumptions.

8. Feedback and Complaints

We welcome feedback about accessibility barriers and opportunities to improve patient experiences.

Requests and complaints may be submitted to admin@medicosmetics.com.au.
We will review concerns respectfully and consider appropriate corrective action.

9. Review and Continuous Improvement

This Policy will be reviewed periodically, particularly following changes to our premises, website, services or applicable legal requirements.
